When I started my 9-to-5 as a Marketing Manager a few years back, I finally saw how powerful it was. Three days a week, I’m knee-deep in campaigns, analytics, and automations, and the results are undeniable.
But before that? As an entrepreneur for 15+ years, I was guilty of treating email like a “once-a-month, if-I-remember” task. No strategy. No segmentation. Just whatever i had time for after all the things we entreprenuers do. And that’s exactly why my results were so mediocre. So learn from my mistakes! Email marketing could be your ticket to more sales, a stronger audience connection, and a pathway to instant sales.
Here’s what you need to know if you want your emails to actually work (and start pulling their weight like the little revenue machines they are):
Email is a marathon, not a sprint
Consistency builds trust. It can take months before your list starts opening, clicking, and buying. Stay the course.
Emails aren’t just for selling
They build like, know, and trust. Your subscribers want to hear from the person behind the brand and your stories, insights, and wins, not just “20% off ends tonight.”
Don’t be that spammy brand
Before you sell, serve. Make sure you give value, educate, and entertain. Prove you’re not just in their inbox to get in their pockets.
Collect emails like it’s your job (because it is)!
New leads = new life for your list and a stale list = flat sales.

Partner with newsletters, podcasts, or webinars in your niche for collaborations, ads, or shout outs on their platform
